Front Line Internship for postgraduate students of Peking University China (Dublin)
Front Line offers a 6 month internship for postgraduate students of the University of Peking's International Human Rights Programme.
The Peking University Intern Programme is designed to offer further study of international standards and mechanisms with regard to the protection of human rights defenders - and to provide the experience of working in an international NGO whose focus is on human rights defenders.
This six-month programme is based at Front Line's offices in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Selected participants work on a single identified project related to the international protection of human rights defenders and engage in training appropriate to their needs. Such training could include: electronic communications, international human rights mechanisms, English language, financial management and fundraising. Successful applicants receive an honorarium of €850 per month for six months together with accommodation costs in Dublin. Airfare to and from Beijing is also paid. Front Line assists with visa applications. Capacity to work in English is essential.
The Peking intern programme is funded by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs.
