Please donate to the Protection Fund
In 2009 Front Line made 154 grants totaling €349,908 to individual human rights defenders and organizations in 42 countries throughout the world. Unfortunately threats against human rights defenders are increasing and the need to provide support is growing.
Our 2010 Small Grants budget is €350,000. We need your help to continue to support at-risk human rights defenders through this crucial progamme.
100% of your donation to The Protection Fund for Human Rights Defenders at Risk will go directly to protect human rights defenders who routinely face death threats, illegal prosecution, imprisonment, violence, and defamation as a result of their non-violent human rights work on behalf of others.
"The grant helped me get protection and you can’t belief it. It actually strengthened my desire, devotion and commitment to fighting for human rights and democratic change.....I feel protected where I am but also feel protected by virtue of my association with
Front Line, knowing that in the event that my life is under threat over the land project then I have some group to help me out. Front Line is frontlife". Kenyan human rights defender Ken Wafula.
