Russia: Raid on the office of Nizhny Novgorod Foundation to Support Tolerance

Front Line is deeply concerned following reports that the office of the Nizhny Novgorod Foundation to Support Tolerance was raided by police on 20 March 2008. Computers and software were taken as well as the mobile phone of Stanislav Dmitrievsky, a consultant with the Foundation. Stanislav Dmitrievsky had previously been Chairperson of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society (RCFS), a predecessor to the Foundation, before it was closed down in Russia by the authorities.  Read More
